MY OTHER PYSANKY
Sometimes instead of making the traditional pysanky, I like to
experiment and make my own designs!! I've done puzzle pieces, different geometrical
shapes, and even scribbled! But, no matter how simple the design, it still look
really cool in the end!!

This is my own, original design. And I like it! hehe.
My puzzle egg is one of my favorite eggs that I've done. |
This is also one of my own original designs too! My
cute little bumble bee! hehe |

This is a brown egg I did. I got the
"denim" look by rubbing the dye off as soon as I took it out of
the dye bath. I think its a really cool effect. |
This egg I did in a quilt
pattern; double wedding bands, or rings. It's done large. I've
also done the pattern on other eggs, in much smaller scale. |

This I call my Partridge Family egg. :) It is also my original
design. Come on get happy! |
This was another puzzle egg I did. I
find the lines look kind of 3-D.

This egg was my first "stained glass" egg. I had to make
the "leading" lines with blue, since I didn't have my black dye at the time.
What I did was dyed the egg royal blue to start off with. Then I applied the
wax, and then I bleached the egg. After that, I dyed and
waxed it just as you normally would.
|
A quick little doodle egg. Sometimes I just doodle on
the eggs, making them 2 or 3 colors. Even this can produce some really neat eggs. |

Another doodle egg. I used the bleach method on this egg. I
dyed it blue, made the little spirals, then bleached it, dyed it yellow, then filled in
the spirals with wax. Finally, I dipped the egg in to the red dye to finish it. |
This is probably my brightest egg. I don't use pink a
lot, and I wanted to do something with it, so hence this egg. I didn't draw the
white lines in; I make them dotted. It gives a neat effect. |

This pysanky, while traditional in design, is
done in bright, Easter colours. |
This egg I did all in blues. I did
another like it, but all in warm colors (red, yellow, orange). That
one's listed on my "Traditional Pysanky" page. |

I was just doodling when I came up with this egg.
While I was making it, I didn't think it would look good in the end, but
after I melted the wax off when I was done, I liked it afterall. |
This is the look you get when you use a brown
egg to make your pysanky. The colors are very soft and muted.
It gives a really nice, country look. |

I like the eggs that I do all in one colour,
like blues and reds. So do other people; I've sold more blue eggs
than any other colour. |
This egg is based on another quilt
pattern, the Star of Bethlehem (It's also known by many other names).
