Ever marvel at the beauty of Pysanky (or Ukrainian Easter Eggs)? I can just hear you now; "I could never do that", or "I don't have the patience for that", or "I'm not artistic". Well, shame on you! You need a bit of patience, but not a lot. I don't have much myself (which you can notice most when I'm driving - just ask my husband). Yes, I am artistic, but, even if I wasn't I could still do pysanky, as can you. Let me show you something:
Now, all I did for all three of these eggs was doodle. On the first on the right, I just drew a bunch of little lines, On the second, I did little swirls, and on the third, I literally scribbled. But don't they still look neat? Now, I don't expect you do be doing greatly detailed eggs right off, but don't worry, your lines will get better with practice, and you'll learn to be at one with your kistka. hehe I hope to give you a little helping hand getting started on a journey that will forever change your life. For, once you start, you can't stop. :) If you can't find the answer here to a question you may have, feel free to email me. I'm here to help.
